Lee Kuan Yew

|
The founding father of modern Singapore was an exceptional, pragmatic visionary who has made dreams come true.
He may not have been trained as an engineer but had great faith in our engineers to fulfil his vision in developing sustainable public housing, building world-class sea and air hubs, building the mass rapid transit system, advancing the manufacturing industry, green-ing the city and even transforming our once-filthy rivers into sources of drinking water.
He has engineered our country into what it is today and we owe our successes to him and his team.
Singapore has lost a great man but his legacy has inspired us to continue to defy expectations and build greater prosperity, security and peace for future generations.
Rest in peace, Mr. Lee Kuan Yew.
